§ 03 · Bioengineering

From CT series to the operating table.

Every patient gets their own anatomical model and their own implant. DICOM segmentation, virtual surgery, surgeon validation — and only then we launch printing.

We work with porous titanium (medical grade 23) and milled PEEK depending on the clinical task — bone density, mechanical load and defect location.

Six steps from scan to return.

A standardised digital protocol that every patient goes through. Each step is documented and stored in the patient's own digital file.

I.

Consultation

Condition assessment, photo documentation, discussion of goals with the patient and family.

II.

Scanning

CT, MRI, surface 3D scanning. Segmentation of DICOM series into an anatomical model.

III.

Planning

Virtual surgery, implant modelling, agreement across the team.

IV.

Manufacturing

3D printing of titanium/PEEK, post-processing, sterilisation, final inspection.

V.

Surgery

Surgery guided by pre-prepared templates and navigation.

VI.

Follow-up

Rehabilitation, revisions, prosthetics, return to life.
